ReviveLite II
Posted by admin in Audio Gadgets on March 8th, 2010
The original ReviveLite would work fine for most people, but the down side of it is that it was pretty bulky. Not only did it keep an outlet covered, but it also had a dock off to the side of the outlet. With this 2nd edition ReviveLite it looks a whole lot more sleek and won’t be quite as much in the way. This new design makes a whole lot more sense than the old one did.
Just like the old one it offers a night light to make wandering around in the dark much easier. The smaller version has one other nice change, it has been designed to include a USB port. That USB port can charge all sorts of other gadgets, all the while you can be powering up your iPod or iPhone on the dock. Plus, since it’s so small, it’d be a very portable device to have around. You can purchase it for $24.99. Right now it’s available through Scosche, but throughout the spring it’ll start appearing at other retailers.

The BXR 1221 2.1 Altec Lansing Speaker System
Posted by admin in Audio Gadgets on February 20th, 2010
If you’re on the lookout for a new set of speakers, Altec has a good looking set. It’s not excessively different from any other set of speakers that you can pick up for your computer. However, it’s just enough to make your computer look a little more interesting. The shape itself is enough to make it stand out from the crowd without resorting to bright colors or odd themes.
The set comes with 2 speakers and a subwoofer. It’d work great for either your desktop computer or even your laptop. It has built-in power and volume control directly on the speaker. The 4-inch subwoofer is said to offer powerful bass and clear highs. It only comes in black, so if you were hoping for options, I’m afraid you’re out of luck. You can purchase the set for $29.95 through Amazon.

Too Late USB Memory keeps you on time
Posted by admin in Clock Gadgets on February 2nd, 2010

It used to be that I didn’t see much point in carrying around a device that keeps track of the time since most people keep their cellphones on hand. However, there are times that it looks bad to be glancing at your phone. If you run into those situations often, but don’t actually want to wear a watch, this could be a happy medium between the two. This keychain could easily be concealed in your pocket and you can keep track of the time as well as all of your important documents.
The Too Late USB drive comes in a total of ten different colors. It’ll hold 4GB of your data, which isn’t too bad. Then it has the keyring that’ll allow for you to keep it attached to your keys if that makes things easier. It also has a small LCD screen that you can read the time on. The drive is impact resistant, which is good news for those of you that tend to drop your keys on a regular basis. Right now it’s a little difficult to find the pricing information on this USB drive, but you could always contact the retailer to find out more.

Game Boy Advance USB Drive
Posted by admin in Games Gadgets on January 24th, 2010

The old Game Boy Advance cartridges don’t get used as much as before. Now they find themselves in the backs of closets practically forgotten. Well thankfully one person is giving those old cartridges some use once again. Instead of jamming them into your Game Boy, you’ll be plugging these into the USB port of your computer. Then while it’s not in use it can just hang from your keychain thanks to the built-in keychain ring.
As of now you can find these in 3 different versions. There’s the Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, Super Mario Advance and Metroid Fusion. All except for Super Mario come with 4GB of built-in memory. However, Super Mario actually has 8GB. For those worried about the brand name of their memory, these were created using Kingston memory. The 4GB drives can be purchased for $39.99 through Etsy, whereas the 8GB is priced at $49.99.

The USB Apple Speaker
Posted by admin in Audio Gadgets on January 5th, 2010

When someone mentions an Apple USB speaker, most people picture sleek lines and a massive price tag. Something with a whole lot of class and sophistication, not to mention a very recognizable brand name. Well if that’s what you had in mind then you’ll be sorely disappointed by these Apple USB Speakers. However, if you have a thing for quirky speakers then these little apples will work out just fine.
These USB speakers even have a small keychain attached to the side to make carting the speaker around a little bit easier. It also has a rechargeable Lithium ion battery that makes the speaker just a little more environmentally friendly. As well as having the usual 3.5mm stereo audio connector, which allows for it to hook up to MP3 players, your laptop and anything else with that type of connector. The apple comes in a few different colors, such as yellow, red, pink, green and black. You can purchase it for $13 from USB Brando.

AirStash Boosts iPhone Storage Wirelessly
Posted by admin in Audio Gadgets, iPod Gadgets on January 5th, 2010

Back when the classic iPod was released with 160GB of memory, it seemed as if the amount of memory on Apple devices could only get better and better. Then the iPhone and iPod Touch came out and had a fraction of the memory. Sure, they’re much prettier than the rest of the iPods released by Apple, but they’re lacking all of the storage space that we all know and love. Well this AirStash is used to wirelessly give your iPhone and iPod Touch the memory boost it needs.
The details are the AirStash are a little limited as of now. They’re just allowing a sliver of the information to leave you craving more on the device. Particularly how much it will end up costing you. It does promise to expand the storage of your device with a wireless memory card that takes swappable SD cards. All of this can hook up to your computer through the USB port. I imagine that details will start trickling out later this week.

Accordion Travel Speaker
Posted by admin in Audio Gadgets on December 24th, 2009

If you need a travel speaker, this one will stand in the shape you need it. Just fold it up and toss it in a bag, then when you’re in dire need of a speaker just unfold it. Once unfolded it stands up straight or even in a slightly more wavy pattern if that’s what you require. With the fold up design it’ll make sure the speakers stay safe while you’re knocking them around in your bag.
The bright white speakers are said to have powerful sound (which of course, every seller claims). The stiff hinges keep the speaker open and then it has an LED power indicator light to let you know the speaker is up and going. The speaker has a couple different power options. You can run it on the 3 AAA batteries or you can plug it into your USB port and power it that way. It has a total of 3 speakers and can be purchased for $14 from Urban Outfitters.

USB Portable Media Speaker with WebCam
Posted by admin in Audio Gadgets on December 19th, 2009

Sometimes I wonder how people decide which gadgets to combine to create one big mega gadget. Is it just a roll of the dice? Do they actually think about it like we, the consumers, hope? I’d like to say the second one, but sometimes I really do have my doubts. One device that makes me wonder is this USB Portable Mediea Speaker with a built-in webcam. I’m not saying having a webcam attached to your portable speakers couldn’t be useful on occasion. Is it enough to justify the gadget though?
The webcam folds down while it’s in transit and can be popped open when you’d like to use it again. In addition to the webcam and speakers, it also has a built-in microphone. It also has a USB mini cable, an external battery pack, remote control, power adapter, a USB extension cable and a computer connection cable. It comes in two different color combinations, one is all black and the other is mostly black but the speakers are framed in orange. You can purchase the speakers for $53.99 from GizFever.

Lucky Clover USB Speaker
Posted by admin in Audio Gadgets on December 15th, 2009

If you’re not that into the usual shaped speakers, these are a nice happy medium. They aren’t overly cutesy, but they’re still brightly colored. Plus they’re shaped like clovers, so you can at least pretend that it’ll bring you good luck. The look of the speakers are a bit more female, but thankfully these don’t actually come in just pink despite their feminine appearance.
These small USB speakers have a rechargeable battery that only requires you to plug it into a USB port every so often to charge the battery again. These 2.5W speakers will work with both your Mac as well as a PC. It comes in a total of 5 different colors, including brown, green, pink, white and finally yellow. You can purchase the Lucky Clover USB Speaker for $15 from Gadget 4 All.
