Many of us do own a TV in our homes, and these TVs tend to be mounted on the wall. Where then, do you place the speakers? Assuming you are one of the few rare people who place your flat screen TV on its stand, then you might want to consider picking up the Sonos PLAYBASE. The Sonos PLAYBASE will be able to slide right underneath your TV, as it delivers a powerful home theater sound whenever the TV is on, as well as handle music all the time while it is turned off.
The Sonos PLAYBASE is the latest addition to its wireless home sound system, and this is the latest speaker in their home theater range. The PLAYBASE is a thin and yet powerful speaker, where it remains discreetly under the TV. With an asking price of $699 a pop, you will be able to find the PLAYBASE arrive in black and white shades with availability kicking off from early next month onward.
The Sonos PLAYBASE measures a mere 58 mm in height, where it packs a whopping 10 drivers. With the PLAYBASE, it offers everything that one can expect from a Sonos speaker. Offering great sound and music playback, it has been specially designed to disappear into the home. The way it has been designed makes the Sonos PLAYBASE look as though it has been cut from a single piece of granite. Apart from that, it also challenges traditional expectations of sound, all coming from a thin speaker. There are no visible seams that result in incredibly clean lines, while sporting an ultra-flat top surface with over 43,000 holes which make up an acoustically transparent grill.
The manufacturing process involves a complex insert molding process as well as a custom-designed glass-filled polycarbonate exterior that ensures vibration is kept to a minimum, enabling it to withstand the weight of a TV for a very, very long time.

We have several different sources from which we get our music. There’s Internet radio, the actual radio, music downloaded on our phones, and computers. When you’re at home, you have access to all of these options, but the manner in which you listen to them is normally stuck to specific devices. We want our world to be as connected as possible, so it would make sense that we would want a speaker system that will let us access whichever option we want, whenever we want.
The Como Audio Solo Speaker could be classified as a radio, but it is far more than that. This is a smart speaker that has a wooden case that’s nearly a half-inch thick with a 3/4” soft dome tweeter and a custom 3” long-throw, 4-layer voice coil woofer with an oversize magnet. There is also a 2.8” TFT color display so you can always see the album art, artist, and song information regardless of what channel you’re listening through.
There are two versions of this speaker, with this $299 version being the smaller of the two. The Duetto does the same, but more of it, and has a $399 price tag. This is available in piano black, white, hickory/black, or walnut/black, and yes, the color does affect the price. If you’re feeling saucy, you can buy multiples and sync them so that you can have the same music playing all over your house during parties.

Getting enough rest is one thing — getting quality sleep is another. You might have the most expensive bed in the world, but it is of no use if that bed is unable to help you get some precious shuteye each night as you remain awake, thinking about a million different things in life. iHome knows this, and hopes to be able to help you doze off better while letting you experience a more restful sleep with its iZBT10 sleep therapy speaker that is part of the Zenergy range.
Sleep therapy arrives in many forms, including that of a pillow, and it is worth a shot if you have more or less given just about everything else in the market a try. iHome’s Zenergy products have received endorsement by Sleep Expert and Clinical Psychologist Dr. Michael Breus Ph.D, allowing the use of sound and light therapy to promote healthier sleep cycles.
The Sound Therapy feature will rely on specially recorded and engineered sounds in order to cancel out distracting noises. This will help to alleviate racing minds, which results in better sleep at night as well as a heightened sense of focus during the day. Light Therapy will work by assisting us to align our circadian rhythms. Also known as internal clocks, light therapy simulates the changing wavelengths of light throughout the day that would naturally govern it. Being exposed to these wavelengths of light at the right times can then trigger subtle biological responses, such as increased melatonin production as well as a more relaxed heart rate at night.
The iHome iZBT10 will arrive with customizable combinations of ten sound therapy presets as well as an equal number of specially designed 1000Lux, 360-degree light therapy and color-blending programs.
