Mobile Cinema DVD Projector

mobile-dvdNot many of us out there are fortunate enough to have enough money in order to have a cinema right smack in our sprawling mansion, although a decent home theater setup is quite common these days. How about moments when you need to keep yourself and your family entertained during an impromptu moment, but a portable DVD player just won’t quite cut the mustard due to the extremely small screen size? That’s where the Mobile Cinema DVD Projector comes in handy.

This idiot-proof LED projector features an integrated DVD player and built-in stereo speakers. Simply plug it in, bung in a disc and gawp in wonder as it beams a quality image (up to 50”) on the wall. Ideal for kids’ bedrooms, family get-togethers and movie night parties, the robust MCDVDP uses clever LED technology, so power consumption is low and lamp life is long. And because it’s portable you can move it between rooms with ease. You can even plug in a microphone for big screen karaoke sessions.

Don’t expect to view super high resolutions with this £159.99 purchase from Firebox though, as it isn’t meant to take the primary place of your home entertainment slot but instead is an alternative.

Sega Indoor Fireworks Projector

sega-fireworksFireworks are always a thing of beauty, but they can get pretty expensive when you want to make a grand show out of it. With the Sega Indoor Fireworks Projector, you no longer have to worry about your house burning down or singed hair – all you need to do is make sure they’re adequately powered and you’re good to go.

Resembling a small planetarium, this jaw-droppingly entertaining gizmo beams realistic virtual firework displays across walls and ceilings. It even blasts out suitably explosive sound effects. The only thing missing is the heady aroma of gunpowder mixed with boiled hot dogs. Impressed? You should be because the Sega is the world’s first indoor firework projector. Mains-powered, the Sega utilises six lenses, internal speakers and nine interchangeable image discs to replicate various awe-inspiring displays. All you do is select a mode, insert a disc and turn off the lights. Hook up to external speakers and we’re talking Beijing Olympics standard here, folks. We’ll even throw in three bonus discs containing messages such as ‘I love you’ and ‘Happy Birthday’.

Interested in picking one up for this coming Christmas? It won’t be that cheap though at £129.95 a pop, but to see the smiles light up on the faces of your kids with the Sega Indoor Fireworks Projector in action, now that’s priceless.

Sharper Image Movie/Video Game Projector

00011158-z1Projectors are starting to become very popular with the average consumer, and this particular one is low-priced and just what the average consumer needs.

After all, most consumers just want a way to view their personal DVDs and home movies on a bigger screen. The Sharper Image Entertainment Projector for Movies and Video Games is perfect for this. All that is required of the user is to hook the Projector to a DVD player or gaming station via included cable, and plug it in with the included AC cord.

According to the site, it is best viewed from six feet away. I had a chance to try it out for myself. I held it back more than six feet away from a blank wall, and I was able to get a pretty decent image.

The Projector also has a terrific handle that doubles as a stand for it. The Projector easily pivots, and it is possible for the user to adjust it so it is projected on the ceiling. It even comes with a remote control for power, volume, contrast, and color.

Granted, I wish this Projector could easily connect to an average computer without having to purchase special adapters, such as the 3M MPro 120. I guess you can’t have it both ways. At least the sound is considerably better than the aforementioned projector.

You should be able to purchase the Sharper Image Entertainment Projector from the Sharper Image site for about $129.99. It won’t be available until November 12th, though.
