Folks who love nothing better than a good puzzle to wind down after a hard day’s work will find the Addictaball to be a decent alternative, as it comes in a small and large version to cater to different needs (at different prices, of course). This handheld game is not battery powered (now that’s a change!), which means you won’t get any fancy sound effects or flashing lights to go along with it. Despite the lack of all that pizzazz, it is still able to keep your gray matter more than happy. The concept of Addictaball involves twisting, turning and tilting this transparent orb in various directions so that you can guide a small metal ball through the 3D maze of platforms, holes and spirals which are suspended within. Anyone who is remotely familiar with manga will definitely have heard about Astro Boy before, and this nifty little creation of a boy robot is now available in the form of an Astro Boy Electronic Action Figure.
The Astro Boy Electronic Action Figure is almost as impressive as his on-screen alter ego. Featuring flashing arm cannons, light-up rocket boosters and powervision eyes, he’s ready to fight for peace and justice whilst adding an über cool comic book angle wherever you chose to plonk him. He even has an illuminated blue chest core.
Hmmm, this 10″ tall action figure will knock you back by £24.99, but make sure you are prepared to fork out extra dough for batteries as it relies on a trio of LR44 1.5V batteries to get Astro Boy up and running – good thing he isn’t nuclear powered.

Ghostbusters is one franchise that I would love to see it come back in a new cartoon series or even better yet, improve upon the movie that was oh-so-memorable for all those 1980s babies. Measuring 28cm tall, this Stay Puft Marshmallow Man isn’t exactly as large as you thought he would be compared to what you’ve seen in the movie and cartoons, but he remains just as cute, sailor hat and all.

Do you get the feeling of being watched all the time even when you’re all alone in your home? Well, you can further enhance that creepy experience with the Eye Clock, where a pair of pupils will replace the hands of a clock to indicate the current time. For example, the left eye will ‘look’ towards the current hour, while the right eye ‘looks’ to the minutes. Making reminders or memos for yourself (as well as others) often come in many forms – some of us use Post It notes, while others leave a handwritten note using a piece of recycled paper or an envelope. Others stick reminders via fridge magnets, but how about one with both visual and audio cues? The Digital Video Memo fits the bill nicely here.
Designed with pen-dodging dummies in mind, this idiot-proof magnetic gizmo allows anyone who can press a button to record a single 30 second video message. It’s a doddle – no pens or scraps of paper required. Once you’ve recorded your message a flashing LED alerts passers by. All they have to do is press the ‘play’ button – easy! Think of it as a high tech sticky note with a 1.5” LCD screen, built-in vid cam and USB rechargeable battery.
Of course, it might end up as something negative for this £29.99 device considering moms who would love to find another avenue to nag their kids as well as husbands. Good thing there is no auto-play loop here…
