PogoCam is the smallest attachable camera in the world

When it comes to wearable cameras, there are quite a fair number of models that are available in the market, but this does not mean that there is no room for improvement. Far from it. Here we are with the PogoCam, which is touted to be the smallest attachable camera of its kind in the world. What makes the PogoCam unique is this is one camera that will be able to redefine personal photography as it merges fashionable eyewear with a camera, now how about that?

Thanks to the folks over at PogoTec, the PogoCam is now ready to rock and roll. You might think that this is in some way similar to that of the Snap Spectacles which will see a camera integrated into some sort of eyewear, but the PogoCam actually differs by virtue of it being easily attachable and detachable, as it can cater to a wide range of frame styles. Heck, this means that even if you do not have to wear a pair of prescription glasses to adjust your eyesight, you can still wear a dummy frame in order to have the PogoCam hooked up for that added touch of tech.

When hooked up to your pair of eyeglasses, in will weigh less than a couple of dimes. The PogoCam makes use of a proprietary new electronic architecture which will enable the highest level of miniaturization while minimizing power requirements, and for a typical user, he or she can “look and shoot” up to 100 photographs or record two minutes of continuous HD video with audio (or 12 ten second clips). Fret not, it will show off a visible courtesy light which blinks so that those around you know that they are being photographed. It even comes with its very own app that will let you focus on your subject as you move around, now how about that?

Sioeye Iris4G Blink Edition action camera features integrated 4G live streaming capability

Whenever there is a mention of an action camera anywhere, chances are one would think of the GoPro series, or perhaps some other one-shot attempts like the Nikon KeyMission 360 action camera. Well, Sioeye does not want to miss out on the action either, and their Iris4G Blink Edition brings something special to the table — for the very fact that this is the first retail-ready action camera in the market that will boast of integrated 4G LTE live streaming capability.

It will be Sioeye’s second 4G-enabled action camera to hit the market, allowing sports enthusiasts to be able to capture and broadcast adventures in real-time. Of course, this works great if the area you are in has 4G coverage, but for the more adrenaline pumping attempts that tend to place one outside of well covered areas, then chances are the live streaming capability is not going to come in handy at all.

This will be the follow up to Sioeye’s first device which was released last year, the Sioeye Iris4G 4K. The Sioeye Iris4G Blink will hit the US some time in the second half of the year, where it will feature integrated live streaming in addition to High Definition video capabilities. Not only that, Sioeye is also adamant on expanding its market share by extending streaming capabilities to YouTube Live.

The Sioeye Iris4G Blink will open the doors for action sports enthusiasts and pros to live stream video, audio, and real-time stats — which include speed and altitude overlays to their fans, all with but a single touch of a button. Of course, if 4G LTE connectivity is unavailable at the moment, there is always 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity to fall back on.

The Sioeye Iris4G Blink live streams at 480p with 30fps, while simultaneously record HD video to local storage during a live stream session and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, equipped with an internal GPS and barometer sensors. It can also snap 8MP stills, and will come with an asking price of $249 a pop.

The camera’s infrared sensor can also detect as to when someone approaches and automatically sends a notification to your paired WiFi device through a free app. The camera will be able to stream and record video, allowing you to check on your home regardless of where you are at the moment — even across multiple time zones.

It will also come with an integrated microphone and speaker for voice chatting with visitors, while homeowners can turn the light on and off remotely or at pre-scheduled times, as well as play pre-recorded outgoing messages upon motion activation, or even sound off a 100db alarm to scare away potential intruders (and neighboring pets). The weatherproof camera will be able to hold its own against moisture, heat, and cold, where it attaches to any exterior surface with the included mounting plate.
