Glowing Plush Bedtime Chameleon gives off a comforting light

One of the joys of parenthood would be the picture perfect scenario of tucking in your little children into their respective beds, giving a butterfly kiss along the way, as well as bidding them good night and a pleasant time of recuperating from the day’s exertions. Of course, some of the little ones do happen to have a phobia of the dark, which is why a bedside lamp would definitely go a long way. Rather than settling on something that is rather ordinary, how about going for a design that will certainly appeal to children in the form of the $39.95 Glowing Plush Bedtime Chameleon?

This particular plush chameleon will be able to produce glowing light which gently changes colors to help children wind down at bedtime. The two chameleon’s eyes, its back, and tail will emit soft red, green, and blue shades of light which will then transition in a subtle manner so that a child can be comforted at bedtime. To further ease the journey into dreamland, there is the option to have the light be accompanied by the soothing sounds of chirping birds as well as leaves rustling in the wind in a rain forest or tropical music with softly strumming string instruments. There is an integrated 45-minute timer that automatically turns the light and music off, while the Glowing Plush Bedtime Chameleon doubles up as a cozy playmate during the daytime.

Panono Explorer Edition 360-degree camera set to debut at CES 2016

panonoWhen it comes to the world of digital cameras, there are many different kinds of models to choose from – some of them happen to be more expensive than the rest (and presumably, carry a whole lot more functions too, of course), while others are general models which will be able to keep the average consumer happy. However, if you would like something that is out of the ordinary, perhaps a 360-degree camera might cross your mind? After all, something like that will certainly spruce up the kinds of different photos that you will be able to shoot, and here we are with word that the Panono Explorer Edition 360-degree camera will be made available to the masses in order for them to have a hands-on experience at CES next year. In fact, the Panono Explorer Edition happens to hold the distinction of being the first consumer camera that surpasses 100 megapixels and deliver seamless, high-resolution 360° X 360° panoramas with just a single shot.

In other words, you will be able to capture high resolution panoramas with but a single shot. This 108-megapixel, ball-shaped Panono will boast of three dozen (that would be 36!) individual camera modules that are specially embedded all around it, and these will fire simultaneously in order to capture everything and everyone in every direction, all at once. What makes the Panono 360-degree camera so special is the very fact that it can be triggered simply by tossing it into the air; where all 36 cameras will then fire when the camera arrives at its apex. Not only that, one will also be able to trigger the Panono simply by using a selfie-stick or a mobile device that functions as a remote control whenever the camera is on a tripod.

There is no concrete word on pricing just yet at the moment, but if you would like a fully immersive experience, then the Panono is certainly able to deliver.

AAXA P5 Pico Projector packs quite a punch despite its small size

When it comes to projectors, many of us would think of industrial sized models, or at least those rectangular boxes that are capable of lighting up a wall with one’s favorite photo slideshow or movies. These tend to be bulky and of course, pricey, but they do happen to serve their purpose. What happens when you need to project something while you are constantly on the move, and yet do not want to tote around something so large as a regular sized projector? AAXA is here with another new model in the form of the AAXA P5 Pico Projector, where it has been deemed to be the smallest 300 lumen pico projector in the world.

Now, AAXA are no strangers when it comes to pico as well as portable projectors, having rolled out their fair share of models in the past including the M4 portable projector. The AAXA P5 will boast of a more compact high efficiency HD Resolution optical engine which enables it to deliver a maximum brightness of 300 lumens. It will play nice alongside a 120 minute high-density Lithium Ion battery, which will obviously make the AAXA P5 a game changer in portable projection technology.

Being tiny enough, the AAXA P5 will be able to fit comfortably in a purse, briefcase, or laptop bag at a moment’s notice. The turbocharged optical engine will be able to deliver 100” projected images (plugged in) and 60” projected images (while on battery power). Accompanying it would be a powerful onboard multi-media player, as it enables the P5 to play high resolution pictures and videos directly from its micro SD and USB ports.

Not only that, when there is an external data source, fret not as the P5 will boast of an array of available inputs such as HDMI, Composite, and VGA. Quick start capability means not having to wait for it to warm up, and the latest solid-state LEDs can last for up to 15,000 hours – that means over 5 years of operation if used 8 hours a day, every day. Expect the AAXA P5 LED Pico Projector to retail for $339 a pop if you’re interested.

Instant Printing Lomographic Camera merges the old with the new

instant-print-lomographyGoing retro happens to be something that happens in cycles – bell bottoms might have been out of fashion for some years before making a comeback, and so too, do faded jeans and the ilk. Having said that, if you have dabbled with Lomography before, you would know that you will need to have an eye for detail in order to ensure that the results of your takes turn out pleasing to the eye. The $149.95 Instant Printing Lomographic Camera is a unique device in a sense where it bridges the old with the new.

Making use of easily available instant film, this analog camera will be able to deliver vividly colored credit card-sized snapshots which develop in a matter of minutes before one’s eyes. This would pave the way for automatic and creative shooting modes (with or without the built-in flash), allowing lomographers to have as much or as little control over shutter speed, exposure time, and aperture settings according to one’s desire. Not only that, it comes with a built-in wide-angle lens and has a trio of extra lenses for close-ups, portraits, and 170-degree fisheye views, not to mention a quartet of colored gel filters. Each purchase will also be accompanied by cable release and tripod mounts, and you will need to source your own instant printing film and quartet of AAA batteries to get it going right out of the box.

New LG Premium range lined up for CES 2016

CES is more often than not the mecca for consumer electronics, where new technologies are introduced to the masses, and it is a lot of times over the top, but a necessary evil, if you will. After all, people love to have all the glitz and glamor associated with such a show, and what better way to make a new product announcement than when the eyes of the world are trained on you? LG Electronics knows this, which is why they intend to revolutionize the home entertainment and appliance market by launching its new, premium LG Signature range at CES 2016. This is a new high-end products range from LG that will be debuting for the very first time at CES with sales set to kick off Stateside in addition to other key target markets in North America, Europe and Asia down the road.

Individual products in the LG Signature range have been carefully selected and designed by a special team within LG, taking in input from leading design experts. LG Signature will at first comprise of a TV, refrigerator, washing machine and air purifier, where there are additional products that will be part of the set up as the brand expands.

To make sure that all of the products will have a similar look within the LG Signature series, they have been stripped of features that detracted from the brand’s design philosophy, which is The Art of Essence, where special emphasis has been placed on elevated form and functionality. As a result, we get a range of products that are of the finest quality which deliver a sense of exclusivity to its owners.

Brian Na, executive vice president and LG’s global marketing officer, shared, “Drawing on LG’s best-in-class technologies and designs, the LG SIGNATURE brand will carve out new territory for high-end appliances and consumer electronics. LG’s innovation leadership in both consumer electronics and appliances gives us an advantage that very few companies have. The MasterLock Bluetooth Smart Padlock teaches an old dog a new trick

If you had a locker in high school, you’ve dealt with combination or key locks. Some are sturdier than others as you come to learn over time, and you bring that knowledge with you into the adult world. There aren’t a numerous amount of times we’re going to need padlocks as adults, but in the places we do put them, it’s pretty important that they’re sturdy.

While you really can’t stop anyone if they really want to get into a place as bolt cutters do exist, a lock will deter most petty theft. MasterLock has been around for a long ole time, and they’re changing to fit the modern world. This Smart Padlock will negate the need for keys, remembering a combination of numbers, and will confound any robber who thinks there might be a lock to pick.

When using this device, your phone will act as your key, as you only need to have your mobile device on you and touch the lock for it to open. There is the option of a directional code as well, but hopefully you shouldn’t need to resort to that. You’ll be able to grant access to family and friends from afar by adding their number to a list in the corresponding app. The app will also warn you of any tampering that takes place. The battery in this device should last you 2 years in Touch Unlock Mode and 4 months in Swipe Unlock Mode. The 4401 series would be able to last 2 or 5 years respectively, and should the battery die an external battery can be used. There are indoor and outdoor ones that will cost $49.99 and $59.99 for those looking for a new way to lock things up.
