If you’re part of the selfie craze and have yet to get a remote shutter control, chances are you’re in the market for one. The only annoying part about having one is making sure you store it in a safe place, as most of these things are not very big, and can be easy to lose. While you could always search for one that will alert you if you’re about to leave it behind, why not just integrate it into your phone case?
The nifti iPhone 6 Case is a wireless Bluetooth shutter remote that will play nicely with any iOS devices. Of course, it will work just fine with Android phones and tablets as well, but it’s built into a case that will only fit the iPhone 6. Storage of the remote is extremely easy, as it has a slide-in slot on the back of the case to keep it safe until you need it next. This is capable of snapping a photo from up to 30 feet away, and can fully charge after 20 minutes of being connected to a power source through USB. If the remote is inactive for 5 minutes, it will go into a power saving mode.
The case is made of a thin, lightweight and durable plastic. In other words, it’s not top-notch protection but it will be better than having your phone all by its lonesome. This will cost you $30, and is sure to make your seflies that much more exciting. There are, as always, other options to choose from if this doesn’t tickle your fancy.

So, you are on a quest with your mate to discover the aptitude of your little one, wondering whether he or she is going to grow up to be an engineer or a doctor down the road, of if he or she happens to have the tendency to mouth off, then how about the role of a lawyer? Having said that, there are many different ways to try to figure out just what your child might be prone to enjoy doing down the road, and giving them toys that explore such possibilities is a start. Case in point, the $146 Magical Six Camera for Kids.
The Magical Six Camera for Kids is a mini film creative toy for the little ones, where it allows your toddler to snap six-second Vine-style mini videos – not to mention being able to edit them right there on the spot, on the video camera itself. Takara Tomy is the one behind this user friendly camera, where all that is required is a little bit of creativity – which children never run short of, and a quartet of AAA batteries to keep it going. You will also have the unique option of adding the likes of background music and decoration (manga-style frames, shapes, letters), adjust color filters, reverse the film, and even edit a film together from multiple stills. Just in case the 16MB of internal memory is not enough, there is always the microSD memory card slot to fill up.

LG has big plans for the year ahead – doesn’t everyone have a master plan anyway? Having said that, LG Electronics has revealed their plans to show off an expanded lineup of LED 4K Ultra HD TVs, where they will feature a slew of new designs, additional features and picture quality enhancements, and those of you who will be attending next year’s CES will definitely be able to check out as to what these new TVs are able to offer – visually, and then some.
Already touted to be the “4K Ultra HD Partner for the 2015 International CES” by the Consumer Electronics Association, the LG LED 4K Ultra HD TV range will boast of superb color reproduction thanks to its ColorPrime series which will result in a greater degree of realism and depth either with Wide Color LED or Quantum Dot technology.
LG’s 4K ULTRA HD TV with Wide Color LED technology will make use of different phosphor-based LEDs in order to let your eyes enjoy greater color depth as well as more lifelike images, not to mention a 25% increase where color gamut is concerned. Apart from that, the Quantum Dot technology will also be demonstrated for the very first time at CES. What does Quantum Dot do? It offers high color accuracy alongside a 30% increase in the color gamut. Not only that, such technologies will pave the way for an even thinner cabinet depth which will reduce the size to mere millimeters, which would approach OLED’s depth.
Keep your senses attuned to the exceptional 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution with In-Plane Switching (IPS) 4K panels, where color vibrancy of images are rendered in near original quality, while paving the way for remarkable wide viewing angles. LG’s True Black Control local dimming technology would also help to refine the contrast in order to deliver darker, deeper blacks, and LG’s new Natural Color feature minimizes color reproduction errors with the Contrast Optimizer maximizing color contrast and brightness. These puppies will arrive in multiple screen sizes, and they surely aren’t gonna come cheap!
LG intends to introduce more 4K Ultra HD TVs
The human brain can be said to be some sort of muscle (although technically speaking, it is more of an organ than anything else) – and as with any other kind of muscle, the more you exercise it, the stronger it gets. Well, a child’s brain is still developing when he or she is young, and you might want to take this opportunity to ensure that it gets the relevant amount of “exercise”, so to speak, in the form of the $119 Anpanman Let’s Go Driving Game. Just what the heck is this? It so happens to be a training educational toy which we can read more about it at the bottom.
The Anpanman Let’s Go Driving Game has been specially themed to be around one particular popular character, which happens to be the award-winning Anpanman Let’s Go. This driving game console would allow your young one to navigate around the colorful world of Anpanman, where what looks like a toy from the outside, is actually a device that has been carefully designed as a form of brain training for children, where it boasts of 14 universal education activity games which will require thinking and mental calculation to complete. This means one would need to actively navigate through routes and mazes in order to develop one’s mental faculties and thinking abilities. Far more creative than a mindless shoot ‘em up or other game genres, don’t you think so?

STREAMZ, the manufacturer behind a piece of hardware that shares a similar namesake, is all set to roll out the Streamz smart headphones some time in the first quarter of next year. In fact, this unique peripheral will come with an integrated Wi-Fi Android HD music player to boot, and I am quite sure that many of us out there would be thrilled to see its debut at CES 2015 that is happening early next month.
Touted to be the next major paradigm shift in wearable entertainment, those who happen to own the Streamz in the near future would no longer need to worry about owning a separate player. After all, everything has been built inside, and taking into consideration how most folks do not want to go through the hassle of carrying, connecting, and draining the battery of their smartphone, the Streamz smart headphones would come in pretty handy – allowing folks to easily and instantly enjoy a slew of high quality music – regardless of the time and place, of course.
While majority of the smartphones and mobile music players out there will come equipped with sub-par DACs and amplifiers, letting listeners compromise sound quality for mobility, the Streamz smart headphones will, as mentioned earlier, feature a built-in Android music player, storage, color display, WiFi, Bluetooth plus a high fidelity DAC and amp. In fact, it boasts of the capability of storing and autonomously play 96 kHz/24 bit HD quality or 44 kHz/16 bit CD quality music and instantly play online streaming music from services including Pandora, Spotify and in due time, CD quality streaming services such as Tidal and Deezer.
Audiophile will be able to listen to high definition quality 96 kHz/24 bit music anytime, anywhere, all without the need for an external wired DAC, Amp or music player, as all of those have been built inside of Streamz. It looks like this is one Kickstarter campaign that has come good!

To err is human, to forgive, divine. While some of us are really good when it comes to hearing, others have trouble making sure that they receive instructions in the right manner – listening to “instructions A” might lead to “action B” instead. As we do happen to have plenty of communications done through the smartphone these days, perhaps it would be more than prudent to make use of the $99.95 Voice Clarifying Smartphone Amplifier to make sure that one does not end up with the wrong interpretation or receive some other message ever again.
After all, the Voice Clarifying Smartphone Amplifier is a wireless Bluetooth handset which makes it a snap to tune in to incoming smartphone calls as it helps to clarify dialogue while amplifying sound at the same time. The device will enable users to select the tones that they hear best, while it gets to work enhancing the frequencies that one might struggle to hear, being capable of providing up to 40 dB of amplification and making a caller’s voice up to 100X louder. There is also an integrated digital processor which filters out distortion and static, while the optional T-coil mode broadcasts sound directly through a compatible hearing aid. Not only is it lightweight, it is also portable to boot, as the amplifier pairs with any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone from up to 33′ away, ensuring that one lives a tangle-free life. Speakerphone mode and a visor clip paves the way for hands-free calls while driving, and the lithium-ion battery has up to 10 hours of talk time via a four-hour charge.
Sounds like what one might find in the Voice Clarifying TV Speaker too!

Video cameras in cars to record your journey are nothing new, this is for sure, but what if the idea could be taken to a whole new level? South Korean consumer electronics giant LG has stepped forward with Mercedes-Benz, where both of them are working on a brand new intelligent camera system that will do its bit in advancing the world of automated driving forward – perhaps by leaps and bounds, who knows? This particular design of next-generation camera systems for automated driving would enable the driver to transfer several driving tasks over to the intelligent vehicle.
This particular collaboration would look into camera systems for environment perception, not to mention driver state monitoring to boot. In order to help out in this collaboration, the folks over at Mercedes-Benz have decided to license portions of its 6D Vision technology to LG.
This particular joint project will allow LG to make use of their extensive experience and comprehensive R&D capacity in camera systems, computer vision algorithms and electronics technologies in order to bring current ADAS technologies to the next level down the road. Apart from that, LG also intends to transfer technologies from its home entertainment and mobile communications businesses all the way to automotive components, so that they can offer the best technologies and the highest performance.
Some of LG’s ADAS portfolio would include forward-looking Single and Stereo Camera Systems for Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), High Beam Assist (HBA) as well as Pedestrian and Bicyclist Protection. Apart from that, Driver State Monitoring Systems would be able to help identify the driver’s biometric state, monitor and analyze the driver’s attention or drowsiness level, all the while detecting the driver’s eyes position with high accuracy. In addition, Surround View Monitoring Systems would assist the driver with parking maneuvers through the display of environment and detecting obstacles. It would be nice to see all of these get incorporated in due time, better sooner rather than later!
It’s that time of year again where we adorn our home with lights, poinsettias, and various nods to Old St. Nick. We feel more giving than normal, but also secretly (and sometimes not so secretly) hope everyone else is in the giving mood too. While this is certainly a time for traditions, that doesn’t mean we have to be completely stuck in our old ways.
If you’re looking to team your holiday spirit up with the modern world, then you’re likely looking for gadgets and gizmos that will make things more interesting. One of the major aspects we associate with this time of year is a pine tree all gussied up with lights, ornaments, and a star sitting atop it. Of course, we listen to music all year long, the only difference being a change in theme. If you want to listen to some tunes to get you in the holiday spirit, then why not put a speaker on your tree and rock out to Jingle Bells?
The Acoustic Research 3-Watt Portable Speaker looks like a ball-shaped ornament with a snowflake pattern that can connect with your Android, iPhone or iPad devices. Of course, if you don’t have a tree handy, you can make this your standalone decoration. This is rechargeable, and is said to give you “hours of play time”, though that will likely vary a bit from person to person. This will cost you around $18 for one speaker, and would be a great present for anyone who gets overly excited about Christmas.
